What the Chamber is for
The Australian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AustCham) was founded in 2008 and is a non-profit, private sector organisation promoting Australian business and AustCham member interests in the Republic of Korea.

The Australian Ambassador is Patron
AustCham Korea works closely with the Australian Embassy, Austrade, and State and Territory trade offices in Korea to ensure our members benefit from a coordinated and strategic approach to bilateral engagement.
The Chamber is proud to be supported by our Patron H.E. Jeff Robinson, Ambassador of Australia to the Republic of Korea. With the support of the Ambassador, the Chamber works closely with the Australian Embassy and the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade).
AustCham is part of a larger network of AustChams in Asia that includes AustCham Beijing, AustCham Hong Kong, AustCham Shanghai, AustCham Singapore, AustCham South China, AustCham Thailand and AustCham Vietnam (HCMC and Hanoi).
The Australia-Korea relationship is a model of mutual respect, shared values, and deep economic integration. As Australia’s fourth-largest trading partner, Korea plays a central role in Australia’s international trade and investment strategy.

Jacco ZwetslootExecutive Director
Arnold LeeDirectorBorn in the Netherlands and raised in Australia, Jacco has called South Korea home for the past 24 years. His extensive career spans both the public and private sectors, most recently with The Economist Group as the moderator of its Seoul corporate network and at the Korea-based PR firm Insight Communications.
Arnold Lee brings strong expertise in the international trade and investment sectors through his previous positions at KOTRA Sydney and KMONDS. Fluent in English and Korean, Arnold was born in Seoul and moved to Sydney, Australia, when he was 10.
Eunhee Cho, Project Manager, holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Tourism and a Master’s degree in Global Business Administration, and leads projects in global business and partnership marketing between Australia and Korea.
The Gapyeong Valley scholarships
AustCham's own account of its Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
In recognition of Australia’s long-standing relationship with Korea, AustCham has for many years provided annual scholarships to selected students from the Gapyeong Valley. The Battle of Gapyeong occurred in April 1951 during the Korean War and was the single largest action involving Australian servicemen during the Korean War.
AustCham’s CSR programme has focused on assisting low-income families, children’s orphanages, the elderly, LGBTIQ+ awareness, students through a scholarship fund, and others at a disadvantage.
Recognising that foreign businesses can face challenges in doing business in Korea, AustCham supports its members in communicating with the KOTRA Ombudsman Office.
